It appears that we’re seeing intermittent failures uploading files from our servers to our CDN provider. So when users then go to download the files they are getting very small and incomplete files served to them. We have notified our CDN provider and are in the process of working with them to get the issue resolved.

While we work to resolve this we are recommending that affected users re-upload their files to the “dropbox” folder on the FTP server. If you do this and still can’t download your file please contact support@libsynsupport.com and let us know the url to the file that you are having troubles with and we’ll investigate the issue and get it fixed for you.

We apologize for the troubles and appreciate your patience.

Thanks

-Team Libsyn

UPDATE: January 20th 10AM EST – We’ve now gone roughly 14 hours without a single upload failure to our CDN provider. This issue was caused by a bad router or link along the path from our servers to our CDN’s storage. We’ve modified the route our traffic takes to avoid this trouble spot and have not seen a failed upload in our logs since.

We experienced some intermittent network connectivity issues early this morning from approx 5:30AM to 6AM EST. The issue appears to have been caused by a bug in one of our aggregation switches that was triggered by a network upgrade being done by our data center. We apologize for this issue and while the switch is functioning normally again we will be looking into replacing it avoid a similar issue in the future.

It’s currently 8:15 PM EST on Dec. 30th and we’re experiencing a delay in receiving logs from our CDN provider so stats processing is roughly 12 hours behind schedule. There is actually a very large batch of logs being downloaded right now and they will get processed once the download finishes. Stats should get caught up sometime early in the morning tomorrow.

UPDATE 12 AM EST 12/31/11 – We’ve finished processing the large batch of log files that we received but we are still several hours behind. We are again waiting for additional logs to become available but it appears there is still a delay on our providers end in making the logs available to us.

UPDATE 7:30 AM EST 12/31/11 – We just received word from our provider that they were doing maintenance on the log system and things have finally caught up on their end. We are just now seeing another very large batch of logs become available. The download of those logs has finished and we are processing them now.

UPDATE 12:00 PM EST 12/31/11 – Stats processing is currently caught back up at this time and we are receiving logs on a more regular basis from our provider now.

We’d like to take this opportunity to thank all of you for your business and wish you Happy Holidays and a Happy New Year! Due to the holidays please be aware that normal support requests will take a little longer to be responded to. Any system-wide issues or outages will be addressed immediately like we always do.

Thanks for helping make 2011 a great year for Libsyn, we’re looking forward to 2012 being an even better year!

We are aware of an issue with the Flash Player and embed codes not functioning correctly at this time.  We’re investigating the issue and will update this post when the issue is resolved.

UPDATE – Nov. 20th – 4PM EST – We have found the cause of the issue and have released a patch to fix the players.  If your player is still not working at this time please e-mail support@libsynsupport.com

We will be performing maintenance on our FTP server tomorrow November 17th in the morning at approximately 9:30AM EST.  We are setting aside a two hour window for this but expect the work to be completed within an hour.  During this time the FTP server will be inaccessible and there will also be a roughly 5-10 minute period right at 9:30AM when uploading through the interface will also be disabled.  We will update this post once the maintenance starts and will continue to update it until the maintenance is complete.  We apologize for any inconvenience this causes but we believe the maintenance we are doing will fix the last remaining FTP issues that a small number of our users have been affected by.

Nov. 17, 2011 – 9:50AM EST – The maintenance window has begun so FTP uploads are turned off.

Nove 17, 2011 – 10:50AM EST – The FTP maintenance has been completed successfully – If you have any issues with FTP please submit a ticket via the http://helpdesk.libsyn.com or by e-mailing support@libsynsupport.com

Due to a disruption of service with our CDN, uploads via the Web and FTP are temporarily being disabled  until the CDN rectifies the problem within their datacenter. We are working with our CDN closely to restore service and apologize for any inconvenience caused.

Updates will be posted as the information becomes available.

UPDATE: We have been able to reconnect with our CDN servers and have re-enabled publishing capability. If you have any trouble publishing content via the Web or via FTP, please contact our support team at support@libsynsupport.com.

We’re currently experiencing a delay in stats processing due to an issue with our CDN not providing us any raw logs from roughly 10:30 PM EST last night up until 10AM this morning.  The log files are coming in again now and we are processing them as quickly as we can.  Due to this stats are almost 12 hours behind – we will update this post when they are caught up.

UPDATE - 8PM EST – Stats processing is completely caught up at this time.  Thanks for your patience.
