What Services and Applications are Represented in Libsyn Stats?

Article sections

Our stats will include requests (“downloads” and “plays”) from any service or application that is pointing to the media files on our system.  This will include anything that is using the Libsyn RSS feed, Web Player, Podcast Page or Direct Download URL’s.

A few of the directories and applications which points to the media files on our servers include:

    • Apple Podcasts
    • iOS Podcast App
    • Stitcher
    • Overcast
    • Beyond Pod
    • Pocket Casts
    • Podcast Addict
    • CastBox
    • Player FM
    • TuneIn
    • iHeart
    • Google Podcasts
    • Pandora
    • Radio Public

Note:  This is not an exhaustive list of the directories, apps, or services that are included in your stats.

Services and applications that pull in copies of your content from us and then serve their own versions of the files are NOT included in your Libsyn stats.

Here’s a list of popular services and applications that are NOT included in Libsyn stats:

    • Google Play Music
    • Facebook (if using the option to have us upload as a video to your timeline)
    • YouTube
    • Soundcloud
    • Spotify

Out of that list, Spotify does provide us with statistical data that we process and display under a ‘Spotify Stats’ section.  Those numbers are NOT included in your Libsyn stats and are 100% separate.

For Facebook, YouTube & Twitter you will see various data from them under the ‘Social Statistics’ section that’s in the bottom right for the show & episode stats.  This data is not included in the Libsyn stats either and is simply the data that we are able to pull from those systems based on the destinations you have setup for them within our system.
