Spotify has started adding new shows to their system again! They have a backlog of about 2500 shows from us to get through and should be finished doing that by early next week. Once that is done things will be back to normal with new shows being added a few days after submission. Please remember to make sure to complete setup of the Spotify destination: https://support.libsyn.com/kb/spotify/ otherwise you show will not be submitted to them.
Due to higher than expected demand Spotify is doing work on their systems to be able to better handle the submission of new shows. They are expecting this work to take approximately 4-6 weeks during which time they will not be accepting new shows. Any newly setup Spotify destinations from now until the end of the month will still be submitted to Spotify but they will not be added to their system until early June.

GDPR creates consistent data protection rules across the European Union (EU) and applies to companies based in the EU as well as companies around the world that provide services and process data from or about individuals in the EU. GDPR has a broader scope than current EU data protection laws and substantial fines for compliance violations. [7AM EST] – We became of aware of an issue with the release of episodes being delayed. From our logs it appears this began occurring approximately 4 hours ago. We have now resolved the underlying issue and the system is now processing through the backlog of episodes. We will post another update when it’s finished getting through the backlog.
[7:40AM EST] – The backlog of episodes has now been cleared and released. Episodes published now will be released as normal without any delay.
[April 20, 6 PM EST] – The display of Spotify stats is currently offline – we are working to bring it back online as quickly as possible.
[April 20, 6:30 PM EST] – Spotify stats display is back online.
Due to the overwhelming uptake in podcast consumption and podcasters submissions Spotify is going to be making some back end updates to better serve both groups. There may be some delays in new episodes or shows appearing in Spotify during this maintenance period that they are expecting to last approximately four to six weeks.
[11:30AM EST] – We’re doing some maintenance on our stats processing system today, stats processing will be paused during this time. We expect this maintenance to take ~6 hours and will post an update when the processing has been restarted.
[5:40PM EST] – We’ve completed the stats maintenance and processing has been turned back on. All logs generated during the time frame of the maintenance will be processed normally in order of oldest to newest. We’ll post another update when processing has caught back up.
[11PM EST] – Stats processing is continuing to run and we expect it to be caught up in the next 2-3 hours.
[January 29, 7:30AM EST] – Stats processing fully caught up overnight and is continuing to run normally.
At the end of 2017 we rolled out our new stats interface backed by an entirely new stats system – new stats FAQ. After the new system was launched we continued to process data through the legacy system to allow for direct comparisons during the month of December between the old numbers and new numbers. Today we have stopped processing data through the legacy system, this means that while all existing data in the legacy system will remain accessible you will no longer see numbers there update.
[12:00 PM EST] – Stats processing is currently paused, you may also see the stats display be intermittently available. We will update this post when processing is running again and the display issue has been resolved.
[2 PM EST] – Stats display is functioning normally again at this time. We’re still working on getting processing running again and will post another update when that has occurred.
[6 PM EST] – Stats processing is running again now, we’ll post another update when it finishes catching up. We appreciate your patience with us on this.
[11:30 PM EST] – Processing is running about an hour behind now and should be fully caught up within the next two hours.
[1:40 PM EST] – Stats processing is currently running ~3 hour behind and is paused at the moment. You may also notice that the display of stats information in the Libsyn Dashboard is loading intermittently. We’ll update this post as things get back to normal.
[4 PM EST] – Stats processing is running again but is still several hours behind. We’ll continue to post updates until it’s caught up. Stats display has been functioning normally the past hour or so now and we’ll continue to monitor that as well.
[6:30 PM EST] – Stats processing is slowly catching up and is down to being about 2 hours behind now. We’ll continue to post updates until it’s completely caught back up.
